Group Photo - Snyder Hall - Front Entrance - 1968(?)761 viewsPhoto contributed by Stewart Lachman. Stewart writes:

"I couldn't remember the source of this photo ... It's a classic. Larry Wickett of Pillowcayse fame is in lower left. ... It looks like '68 to me... 'cause I got there in '69 and I don't recognize anyone."

Doug Elbinger has confirmed (February 2011) that he was the photographer.

'Russian Tables' - Sny-Phi Cafeteria - circa 1967(?)754 viewsKevin writes...

While going through old pictures for my daughter's yearbook, I came across this photo which John Reid gave me in the early 1980's, after the demise of JMC. In the early years, language students were encouraged to eat lunch together in the Snyder cafeteria and practice their respective languages.

Portrayed are 2 Russian tables. In the foreground (left to right): Debbie Sirotkin, Fran Gribble, Lloydanne Holmes (Russian instructor), Velma Campbell. In the background, the woman with glasses is Ms. Penny (I don't recall her first name); I think the guy in the plaid shirt is David Lichtman.

Business Card: Shiloes740 viewsBand originally named 'Shy Luv' / 'Shy Luvs'. Nobody could keep the name straight, and assumed it was some variation on 'Shiloh'. We gave up and officially changed the name to 'Shiloes'. The list of members reflects our 2nd drummer. This was the lineup during our 1965 - 1966 gigs.

This is the cover of the April 1966 issue of _Ramparts_, which featured a examination of MSU's role in supporting the government of South Vietnam. MSU's involvement with the South Vietnamese government spawned suspicion, accusations, and conspiracy theories at the time.
