Summer / Fall: Updates / Upgrades to the JMC Website

In the year since the 2002 JMC Reunion, the following changes have been made on this JMC website:
  • A new JMC Courses webpage has been added. This (large) page provides a representative sampling of JMC's internal courses - including a comprehensive listing of the courses offering from Fall 1973 through Spring 1974.
  • The number of personal listings in the JMC Veterans Directory has grown by over 25%.
  • The number of recent JMC alumni photos in the JMC Mug Shots Gallery has grown by almost a third.
  • A Then and Now Gallery (subsidiary of the Image Gallery) has been added for those Morrillites for whom we have photos from 'back when' and more recently.

October 26, 2002: JMC 2002 Reunion was a Success

The 2002 JMC Reunion (October 18-20) was a success!

August 31, 2002: JMC Webspace Updates / Additions

A number of changes / updates have been made to the existing JMC Webpages.

For one thing, a top-to-bottom overhaul of the Home Page has been done.

This set off a major stylistic remodeling of the entire Webspace.

In addition, the following significant 'chunks' have been added to the JMC Webspace.

August 25, 2002: JMC 2002 Reunion News

The 'official' information / invitation packets for the 2002 JMC Reunion were sent out in mid-August 2002.

July 31, 2002: JMC Webspace News

This JMC Webspace has been updated and expanded as follows:

  • A JMC faculty group photo (best guess: circa 1967-1968) has been scanned into electronic format by Cleo Parker and added to the JMC Webspace. It is linked off the JMC Evidence page (Photographic Evidence). Thanks, Cleo!

The specific URL for the faculty photo page is:

    http://www.enolagaia.com/FacFoto75.html

  • The existing JMC Image Gallery page has been subdivided into what is now a set of four separate pages (and associated subpages). The rationale was to clear some space for (I hope...) future additions, and to minimize the per-page download burden for visitors.

The new organizational scheme is as follows:

The new Faculty Photos page includes some additional photos I've dug up (from the Web) or been sent for Albert Cafagna, Keven Bridge, the late Betty Dickinson, Milt Powell, John Schroeder, and James Trosko.

  • The existing JMC Evidence & Legacy page has been subdivided into what is now a set of three separate pages (and associated subpages). The rationale was to clear some space for (I hope...) future additions, and to minimize the per-page download burden for visitors.

The new organizational scheme is as follows:

Some of the reminiscence materials to date relate to more than one of these 3 categories. I've tried to cross-link these materials to reflect this.

The Group Memory section now contains the first of (what I hope will be...) multiple materials on topically-focused reminiscences. This initial set includes Fred Little's wonderful capsule histories, the canonical list of I & E movies, and a listing of JMC people cited (e.g., in documents or emails) but not yet 'accounted for' (i.e., JMC's "MIA" folks).

  • Cynthia Freeland has forwarded a listing of the JMC students inducted onto the MSU Honor Roll following Winter Term 1970. Thanks, Cynthia! I've turned this list into a Webpage (analogous to the '73 graduation list) at:

    http://www.enolagaia.com/HonorW70.html

June 29, 2002: JMC Webspace News

This JMC Webspace has been updated and expanded as follows:

  • Fred Little has scanned and forwarded images of a two-sided JMC recruiting poster. This, the first artifact generated by JMC itself to be posted here, has prompted a lot of discussion on the Yahoo Groups JMC forum. The poster can be accessed via the JMC Image Gallery (under Miscellaneous) or via the JMC Evidence Page (under 'Photographic Evidence'). Thanks, Fred!

  • The existing JMC Photo Gallery page has been renamed the "JMC Image Gallery" to better reflect the range of images (some photographs, some not) that have been made available there. The URL for the Gallery remains unchanged as:

    http://www.enolagaia.com/http://www.enolagaia.com/gallery/index.php?cat=3

  • A JMC 'In Memoriam' Page has been added to serve as a listing of those JMC community veterans (faculty, students, etc.) known to have passed away. The URL for the new In Memoriam page is:

    http://www.enolagaia.com/JMCMemoriam.html

  • Stewart Lachman has dug up and forwarded a copy of the Spring 1973 commencement listing (i.e., the inventory of JMC students certified for graduation in June 1973). I've transcribed this into a tabular format and it is now available as a Webpage accessible via the JMC Evidence & Legacy Page. Thanks, Stewart!

The URL for the JMC Spring 1973 Graduates List is:

    http://www.enolagaia.com/GradSp73.html
