Actual Advertising Posters, circa 1971 or 1972 | |||||||||||||||||
During the Nixon Administration, Justin Morrill College came to have a reputation for (...ahem!...) countercultural excess. Here is photographic evidence contradicting that attribution. These entrepreneurial posters graced the bulletin boards of Snyder Phillips Hall, probably during 1971 or 1972. In contrast to the popular stereotype of JMC life, these artifacts indicate that denizens of our residential college were given to both small business development and the promotion of health supplements. This evidence was excavated and submitted by The Mystery Texan. Thanks, Mys-Tex! |

Let's be fair -- folly of youth, and all that... As this third and final poster indicates, the health supplement business eventually dissipated of its own accord... |
